For most Administrative Professionals, the table below defines the amounts of education AND/OR experience required to qualify for positions at the various grade levels. In using this table, an applicant is only required to have EITHER the education OR the experience requirement to qualify, or their qualification can involve a combination of education and experience.

Candidates should refer to the vacancy announcement for a definition of general or specialized experience and any additional requirements for each specific position announced. Some of these positions have additional qualification requirements, such as Computer Specialist,Financial Management, Training Instruction, Facilities and Equipment Management, and Safety and Occupational Health positions.

Additionally, Contracting positions not only have additional qualification requirements, but they have specific educational requirements as well. Again, always refer to the vacancy announcement to determine whether the occupation you are interested in has additional qualification requirements.
