Pay Table For Entry Level Engineers and Certain IT Positions
In order to remain competitive with the private sector, entry-level NASA engineers and certain IT positions are paid at a slightly higher rate than other civil servants. If you have a BS degree with minimal experience you will start as a GS-7/ step 1; an MS degree--GS-9 step 1; or PhD--GS-11 step 1. If the position that you are hired for is classified as electrical/electronic or computer engineering--click on the first pay table. For all other engineering positions click on the second pay table.
